Where to find CHEAP silkscreening?

Does anyone know of a place for getting very cheap 5 and 6 color prints done? I need to make about 100 silkscreens of 3-4 designs, each with about 5 colors. If you know of a friend/small business/ anything looking for this sort of work, please post of message me!

Hey Everybody...it looks as though no body has posted here in a while, and I wonder why??..
T-shirts are by far one of the more fun mediums to work with.
I run a business out of Vancouver/Bowen Island in beautiful B.C.
My target Market is Women..however I do print for Men as well..
be great to share some ideas with everybody, and if there is anyone out there that has some tips on marketing that would be great.
I can do the artwork, I can print the product, (and all of them sell, if I sell to friends) but I have a hard time approaching clothing outlets.
Is it better to hire someone to do it for you, or take a course on how to market yourself better. I know it boils down to confidence in your product, however that doesn't seem to be the case, I know I have a great product, it's fun, flirty, and the possibilities are endless, it's just the fact of doing the legwork when I should be Here at home doing up more designs..
Anyhow, I've rambled on long enough..
well hopefully people come back to post..
I have some great ideas, and so do alot of people on tribe.net..
that's why I'm here.

I am new to this group and wanted to say hi to all the other t-junkies out there. This is awesome that I've found a group with such a specific interest. I can now die happy :)

I've been a t-shirt freak as long as I can remember. Just thinking about counting all the shirts in my collection makes me get goose bumps.

How the romance began...
My T-Shirt addiction was handed down to me by the father of a childhood friend I once had. On occasion, when I was visiting my friend's house we’d happen to be in the basement laundry room where his father's t-shirt collection was kept. We were strictly informed to not so much as breath on the shirts, much less touch them. The large, neatly folded stacks of crisp and colorful (mostly cotton) shirts stood silently enticing me whenever we were near them. Before long, it was more than I could take. One day I asked my friend's father if he could show us the shirts in his collection. After much thought, he consented...flipping the shirts one by one so we could see the designs. On occasion he'd quickly stash one off to the side if it contained some sort of "adult content" our 8-year-old eyes were not permitted to see. It was the best afternoon I could remember, and we got to see them all!! Many years later, my friend's family was moving out of town and his father gave me a t-shirt as a going away present. Though it was undoubtedly one of his outgrown castoffs, I was ecstatic and still own that 1986 Def Leopard t-shirt to this day :)

The joyful sickness continues…
Today, I have channeled my love of the casual shirt into a business. I am the owner of Qwear Gear, http://www.qweargear.com. Seller of clothing and accessories for Straight, Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Trans, Drag, Bear and Leather Lifestyles. Our catalog has around 600 (and growing) different t-shirt designs in it. We sell on our website (though it only shows about 150 of our best selling designs), on Ebay, and we also sell wholesale to several retailers across the USA. I personally design the artwork for almost everything we sell.

If anyone in this Tribe ever wants a shirt(s) made from a design or idea they have, just let me know! We don’t have any minimum order fees or quantities, no setup costs, etc. It doesn’t matter if you want to order 1 shirt or 500 shirts from me (except the price goes down if you buy more). Our merchandise and shirts are almost exactly the same quality (and I think, even better) than what Café Press sells. Except, at Qwear Gear you can make A LOT more profit (about 100%) that you ever could by using Café Press, because they charge way too much! Anyway, that’s the shameless plug for my company. Crushing sorrow -- and renewed hope

I had a huge box of my T-shirts stolen from storage (50-70 shirts, I'd guess). It was probably more than two years ago, hard to say since most of the past four years I've been in Prague with my stuff stored in the States. I can't even begin to name all the great ones I lost, but they included a Count Chocula shirt, an "Operation" (like the game -- you could press a button and the nose would blink), a Cocoa Puffs, a Blue Meanie from "Yellow Submarine," a Flaming Lips shirt purchased at my first Lips show back in 198...

I was pretty bummeed. But then I visitied an old friend and found about 20 I'd laft with him, including at least a few of my favorites. A Farrah Fawcett. Quisp. Blues Brothers. I felt a bit better knowing I'd at least have some "new" shirts to wear. My friends love my collection and I promised I'd bring back loads, so it was kinda' important to save a bit of face, as that goes.

Then I hit the thrift stores. I was damn lucky. I think my favorite is the Spanky and Alfalfa from "The Little Rascals"/"Our Gang" with "He-Man Woman Haters Club" on it for a buck. Also good were a Moon Pie T, a Gumby and Pokey, a G.I. Joe, and a Pillsbury Dough-Boy. Altogether abput $30 for 17 "new" shirts, the only dud being a very nice design Power Rangers shirt that's a bit small on me. It says medium but it's really a small I think. Glows in the dark even but I don't think I'll be able to wear it, too bad.

All in all, it's a shame to have lost the others but I still feel lucky to have been pretty lucky in finding some replacements. And at least I wasn't swept away by a tsunami or anything...

Now I have to plan which ones to carry back and choose which ones to ship...
